Famewall App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Famewall app for ChatGPT and Codex handles personal data: what it collects, why, who receives it, how long it's kept and the choices you have. It covers the app only. In this policy, "ChatGPT" also means Codex. The app is provided by Astramind Technologies Private Limited ("Famewall", "we", "us").

1. What the app does

The Famewall app connects ChatGPT to your Famewall account. It lets ChatGPT list and search your walls and testimonials, check submissions waiting for your review, add a testimonial a customer sent you, and correct an existing testimonial or a wall's name and description. You need a Famewall account to use it.

2. Data the app uses

Signing in and permissions

To connect the app, you sign in to your Famewall account and approve the permissions it asks for:

  • View your walls
  • Edit your walls (names and descriptions only)
  • Read your testimonials
  • Add and edit testimonials
  • View submissions waiting for your review
  • Review submissions (not used by the app today)
  • View account insights (counts and your plan)

ChatGPT gets access to your account limited to what you approve. It never sees your Famewall sign-in code, and we never see your ChatGPT login. We use your Famewall account and plan to decide what the app can do, and essential cookies to keep you signed in while you connect.

What we receive from ChatGPT

Only the details ChatGPT puts into a tool request, which are listed in section 3. We don't receive your conversation, prompts, chat history, memories, files or ChatGPT account details.

What the app sends back

Tool results come from your own Famewall account and nothing else. They can include personal data about the people who gave you testimonials: their names, job titles, profile links, usernames and photos, and the testimonials themselves, including links to any images, video or audio. Submissions waiting for your review also include the submitter's email address and their answers to any custom questions on your form. When the app handles data about the people who gave you testimonials, we process it on your behalf.

The app never asks for passwords, payment card details, government ID numbers or health information.

3. The tools: what each one receives and returns

Read tools only look up data. Write tools change it, and the two that overwrite existing details are marked so that ChatGPT asks you to confirm first.

  • get_wall

    Which wall to look up.
    Returns
    That wall's name, web address, description, when it was last updated, and how many testimonials it has.

  • list_testimonials

    Which wall to look at.
    Returns
    The testimonials on that wall. Each one includes:
    • the testimonial text, star rating and source;
    • the author's name, job title, profile link, username and photo;
    • links to any attached images, video or audio, and to the original post; and
    • when it was given and when it was added.

  • get_testimonial

    Read
    Receives
    Which testimonial to look up.
    Returns
    The same details as list_testimonials, for that one testimonial.

  • search_testimonials

    Read
    Receives
    Any of: search words (matched against testimonial text and author names), a wall, a minimum star rating and a source.
    Returns
    The matching testimonials, with the same details as list_testimonials.

  • list_collected_submissions

    Read
    Receives
    Which wall to look at.
    Returns
    Submissions to that wall that you haven't approved yet. Each one includes the same kinds of details as a testimonial, plus the submitter's email address and their answers to any custom questions on your form.

  • get_account_usage

    Read
    Receives
    Nothing.
    Returns
    How many walls, testimonials and pending submissions you have, and your plan. On the free plan, it also returns the testimonial limit and a link to upgrade.

  • add_text_testimonial

    Write
    Receives
    Which wall to add to, the author's name and the testimonial text. Optionally, the author's job title, star rating, photo, profile link and username, and a link to the original message.
    Does
    Adds the testimonial to that wall. If your plan's testimonial limit has been reached, nothing is added.
    Returns
    A confirmation. At the plan limit, it returns the limit and a link to upgrade instead.

  • update_testimonial

    WriteAsks you to confirm
    Receives
    Which testimonial to change, and the new details: the text, author name, job title, star rating, profile link, username, link to the original message, or the date it was given.
    Does
    Replaces only the details you asked to change.
    Returns
    A confirmation listing what changed.

  • update_wall_settings

    WriteAsks you to confirm
    Receives
    Which wall to change, and its new name and/or description.
    Does
    Changes only the wall's name and/or description.
    Returns
    A confirmation listing what changed.

Results also include reference IDs and dates that ChatGPT uses to find and sort items. Write tools only change your own Famewall data: they don't send emails, notify anyone or delete anything. A testimonial added or edited through the app shows on your wall like one added in your Famewall dashboard, including anywhere the wall is shared or embedded.

4. How we use the data

  • To run the app: sign you in, check your permissions, carry out the tool requests ChatGPT makes, and apply your plan's limits.
  • To keep the app secure: prevent misuse and fix problems.
  • To support you when you contact us.
  • To comply with the law.

We rely on our contract with you to run the app, and on our legitimate interests to keep it secure and working. We don't sell app data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

5. Who receives the data

  • OpenAI. When you use the app in ChatGPT, tool results go to OpenAI at your direction, and OpenAI handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. Only ask ChatGPT for data you're comfortable sharing with OpenAI.
  • Our service providers. Cloud hosting and database providers store and process data for us, only on our instructions.
  • Your wall and your integrations. Testimonials you add or edit through the app appear on your wall wherever it's shared or embedded, and tools you've connected to your Famewall account can receive them.
  • Legal and safety. When the law requires it, or to protect our users, the public or Famewall.
  • Business transfers. If Famewall is sold or merged, data may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy.

Famewall data is stored mainly in India. Where data is processed in other countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

  • Your Famewall data, including anything added or changed through the app: for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except anything the law requires us to keep. Backup copies are overwritten on our normal backup cycle.
  • Tool requests and results: we don't keep a record of them, apart from the changes the write tools save to your account and technical details of unexpected errors, which we use only to fix them.
  • Access granted to ChatGPT and the sign-in records behind it expire automatically, at most 30 days after they're issued, and are then deleted.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Approve only the permissions you want when you connect, or cancel.
  • Disconnect the app at any time in ChatGPT's settings.
  • Edit or delete anything the app added, in your Famewall dashboard.
  • Email contact@famewall.io to revoke every app connection on your account. We'll do it within 2 business days.
  • Email us to get a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account.
  • If you gave a testimonial to a business that uses Famewall, ask that business to change or remove it. If you can't reach them, email us and we'll help.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your data, to withdraw consent, to nominate someone to act for you, and to complain to a data protection authority. We reply to every request within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and our database is encrypted at rest. Only authorized Famewall staff can access our systems. The app can only do what you approve, and its access expires automatically. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

The app is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update this page and the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how the app uses personal data, we'll tell you by email or in Famewall before it takes effect.
